Cut-to-length (CTL) processing uncoils steel coil, levels it and shears it into flat sheets of exact length. It sounds simple, but for appliance manufacturers it makes a real difference in cost and quality.
1. Uncoiling — the coil is loaded on a decoiler and fed into the line at controlled tension.
2. Leveling — a precision tension leveler removes coil set, cross bow and edge wave, eliminating internal stress.
3. Shearing to length — a flying shear cuts sheets to your target length while the line runs continuously.
Owning and operating your own CTL line means equipment investment, floor space, skilled operators and maintenance. Buying Botu cut-to-length flat sheets instead:
• eliminates leveling equipment investment and operating cost
• delivers length tolerance within ±0.05 mm for automated feeding
• provides stress-relieved, flat sheets that stamp cleanly
• lets you order mixed lengths in one container
Botu's precision CTL lines process prepainted coil into flat sheets 300–6000 mm long with excellent flatness, ready for direct stamping of refrigerator cabinet panels, washing machine shells and air conditioner base pans. Protective film and paper interleaving are available.
