Velvet sheet — known in China as "Ink Feather Stone" (Mo Yu Yan) — is a textured prepainted steel with a fine crystalline surface that genuinely feels soft and suede-like to the touch. Run your hand across it and the difference is immediate: matte, warm and velvety instead of cold glossy metal.
The finish is built on a thick film of around 30 μm, which gives the texture its depth and durability. Beyond the feel, the fine grain diffuses light rather than reflecting it — so door panels stay free of glare and visible fingerprints, keeping that clean premium look over time.
It is already specified on refrigerator door panels by well-known domestic brands, where the material itself communicates quality before a single word is said.
